  5. Korean Kimchi Cooking Class

Korean Kimchi Cooking Class

Come make Kimche with us in this two-part class
Come make kimchi with us! Kimchi is a spicy fermented cabbage side dish and is an integral part of Korean culture. In recent years it has become internationally recognized for its health benefits and unique taste. Traditionally, families in Korea will make a large batch of kimchi in the Fall, let it ferment, and use it to make various dishes throughout the year.
Join us for our two-part class. During the first class in the Fall we will make a large batch of kimchi and each participant will take home a jar. During the second class in the spring, we will use the fermented kimchi to make a traditional stew called kimchi jjigae. These dishes are dairy and gluten free, however they do pack a spicy punch! We will also learn about Korean culture along the way. If you are an adventurous eater who loves spicy food, you will love this class!”
2 part class: October 14th and February 17th
$40/person
Ages 9 and up
Time: 9am-1pm both days.
