DESCRIPTION:Susque Family Camp is a unique and encouraging experience\, offering families a vacation like no other. Each day is filled with thoughtful programming\, educational activities\, meaningful Chapels\, special evening events\, great food and lodging\, and of course\, our nightly Ice Cream Shop. Our year-round and summer staff are eager to serve as you kick back and relax from the daily grind! \nSusque Family camp has a schedule that more closely reflects our Boys and Girls summer camps\, which means there is almost always a community-oriented activity for your whole family to enjoy.  A wide variety of optional activities help introduce you to new friends\, and many educational opportunities help this to be both a vacation and a truly enriching time for all. \nThis year\, we look forward to hearing from Jim Clemens\, chaplain for the week.  Jim is married to Brenda and they have 4 children and 4 grandchildren.  Jim has pastored in Madoc\, Ontario; Seaside Heights\, NJ; and for the past 23 years has served at Port Perry Baptist Church in Port Perry\, Ontario. \nView Sample Schedule.

SUMMARY:Delaware River Run Trek - 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Delaware River Run is our second trip geared right towards middle-school-age campers. It takes place about two hours away in the scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreational Area. This four-day\, three-night trip is led by experienced Susque staff members trained specifically in leading Wilderness Trips. \nThe Trip is designed as an intro to our week-long\, high-school-age Wilderness Trips\, specifically our Ohiopyle and Adirondack Trips. Campers will spend a majority of their time canoeing on the Delaware River as they travel through the Water Gap region. The Trip features “backcountry” camping\, zero light pollution\, hikes to vistas\, and lots of swimming! \nIn addition to the physical challenges of the Trip\, chapels\, meals\, and campfire time are all geared towards helping campers grasp a sense of community\, awareness\, and responsibility. Group dynamics are a key focus of our Wilderness Trips. Let our year-round and summer staff serve you as you kick back and relax from the daily grind! \nClassic Family Camp is more relaxed and less scheduled giving your family the opportunity to choose your own adventure! \nWe will be looking forward to hearing from Joel Rishel\, chaplain for the week.  Joel fell in love with Camp Susque in 1975 as a Littleman camper\, and kept coming back.  He is a pastor who loves helping people experience God’s grace the way he has experienced it.  Joel is married to Cindy\, and they have four grown boys and an adorable white lab. \nView Sample Schedule.

DESCRIPTION:Dates:\nAugust 17-21\, 2026 \nGrades:\nOpen to students entering grades 1-6 \nWho:\nStudents within Trout Run or the Lewis Township locales \nCost:\nFree (A $20 deposit is required to sign up and hold your camper’s spot.  It will be refunded on the first day of camp) \n  \nFor decades\, youth in the Trout Run area have enjoyed a weeklong day camp at Susque run by the Lewis Township Recreation Commission. Susque staff are thrilled at the opportunity to serve the local community by continuing this tradition.Thanks to a variety of corporate and individual sponsors\, Trout Run Day Camp continues to be free for local campers. \nDay campers can expect to be challenged to grow in physical skills (swimming\, archery\, hiking)\, mentally (crafts\, social engagement)\, and spiritually (chapel\, Bible study\, Christian counseling staff). \nSusque staff have undergone 2 weeks of orientation to care\, to the best of their abilities\, for the physical\, spiritual\, and emotional needs of our campers. Any aquatic activity in the pool or creek will be supervised by certified Red Cross lifeguards.

Come join us for our annual day of fun\, fellowship\, and exciting programs designed to meet your safety educational requirements. After the programs are over\, we will have hot dogs and other snacks available to purchase for a picnic lunch (or you can bring your own).  Families are welcome to enjoy the grounds\, playground and sandpit area.
