Educational Programs

Susque School of Discovery

Throughout the year, Camp Susque offers three different types of educational opportunities: Year-Long Classes, Multi-Day Classes, and Single-Day Programs. All of these programs are designed to enrich and supplement content being taught at home or in school.

Year-Long Classes

These classes meet every other week, typically from September-April, for one or two hours. The goal of the Year-Long Classes is to provide consistent learning and deeper assistance in particular subject areas. Past offerings include: science labs (Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Biology), writing, public speaking, and mathematical labs. For each class, we provide the lab equipment and instructor. We will work with you to ensure that each of these classes fulfills the homeschool portfolio requirements that you desire.

Multi-Day Classes

These classes run for 1-3 days over the course of a few weeks. They provide unique opportunities to learn concepts or skills that may be hard to illustrate and practice at home or in school. The classes are typically based on skill progression. Past examples include: Pottery, Digital Photography, and Web Design & Development.

Single-Day Programs

A bulk of our program offerings are in the format of single-day programs. These typically occur in the morning or afternoon and cover a wide range of subjects, from geology to riflery.

Homeschoolers, please note: To fulfill your yearly Fire Safety portfolio requirement, we offer our popular Fire Safety Day every year. This program occurs in September and is a big hit. Be sure you don't miss it!

Family Camp

As you are seeking to enrich the life of your family, please consider our popular Family Camps:

Classic Family CampHomeschool Family Camp are each offered for one week in August every year. It may be just the respite and refresher you and your family are looking for!

Fall-Spring Programs

Susque's fall-spring programs provide an excellent break from the daily routine of study. They offer a chance to get out into God's creation and into His classroom. They're the perfect addition to your ministry at home. All programs are taught from a Christian perspective by qualified teachers who seek to inspire youth and families to learn and discover God's truth.
